Editorial, Operational and Financial Transparency Policy

DScholar Press International | Last Updated: August 2026

At DScholar Press International, transparency is the cornerstone of our academic mission. We operate under a strict "zero hidden terms" doctrine. Authors, institutions, reviewers, and readers deserve complete visibility into every step of the publishing lifecycle, our fee structures, editorial criteria, ownership, and governance models.

1. Core Commitment: What We Keep Completely Transparent

Nothing in our operational or decision-making workflow is concealed. Our commitment to full disclosure covers the following core areas:

  • 1. Editorial Workflows & Decisions: Every stage of manuscript evaluation—desk reviews, peer review tracks, revision requests, and final accept/reject verdicts—follows clear, publicly documented criteria with no hidden editorial gates.
  • 2. All Financial Costs & Fees: Manuscript Processing Fees (MPF), print production costs, licensing terms, and fee waiver policies are published explicitly up front. There are zero surprise costs, hidden post-acceptance charges, or undisclosed submission fees.
  • 3. Ownership & Organizational Structure: DScholar Press International operates transparently as an academic publishing imprint of DSCHOLAR RESEARCH CONSULTANCY AND ANALYTICS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED. Our legal status, physical address, and official contact channels are fully disclosed.
  • 4. Peer Review Integrity: The evaluation criteria used by external reviewers and editorial board members are standardized and accessible to authors prior to submission.
  • 5. Copyright & Reuse Terms: Author copyright retention, Creative Commons license parameters, repository permissions, and republication rights are defined openly without ambiguous legal clauses.
  • 6. Conflicts of Interest: Financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence editorial outcomes are declared publicly by editors, reviewers, and authors alike.

2. Financial Transparency & No Hidden Charges

We maintain absolute financial transparency across all publishing tracks:

Financial Integrity Standards:

  • Clear Fee Timing: MPF payments are requested only after a work has completed review and received formal acceptance.
  • Complete Cost Breakdown: Invoices itemize all applicable services, including typesetting, DOI registration, digital hosting, and applicable local taxes.
  • Separation of Payment & Review: Editorial decisions are made strictly by academic editors and peer reviewers who have zero access to or involvement in financial billing. Payment never influences editorial acceptance.

3. Editorial Governance & Accountability

To uphold public trust, members of our Editorial Board, Series Editors, and Press Directors operate under publicly verifiable credentials. Editorial decisions must be substantiated by written reviewer reports or formal editorial evaluation logs, ensuring that every publication decision is accountable and traceable.

4. Inquiries & Public Accountability Contact
