This policy outlines the estimated time-frames across each key milestone of our electronic manuscript management portal—from initial submission to final online indexing and physical print distribution.

1. Stage-Wise Publication Timelines

The standard publishing journey for monographs, edited book volumes, research publications, and book chapters progresses according to the following target durations:

  • Desk Screening & Initial Acknowledgment: 6 to 8 business days post-submission via the online editorial portal (includes initial similarity/plagiarism check and structural formatting evaluation).
  • Peer Review Process: 3 to 6 weeks plus 5 days (approx. 26 to 47 days) from the date of peer reviewer assignment (varies based on referee availability and complexity of subject matter).
  • Author Revision Window: 12 to 19 days granted to authors to complete necessary revisions and re-submit corrected files following peer feedback.
  • Editorial Decision & Acceptance Notice: 8 to 10 business days after receipt of satisfactory revised files.
  • Agreement Sign-Off & Fee Clearance: 8 to 12 business days following formal acceptance notification.
  • Copyediting, Typesetting & Galley Proofing: 12 to 15 business days for cover creation, layout formatting, XML tag preparation, and author proof approval.
  • Digital Publication & DOI Activation: 6 to 8 days following final author sign-off on galley proofs and fee settlement.

Factors Influencing Publication Speed:

  • Responsiveness of Authors: Delays in submitting required revisions, copyright agreements, or galley proof approvals will directly extend the publication timeline.
  • Major Revisions: Manuscripts requiring multiple rounds of extensive technical or linguistic revision will require additional evaluation cycles before acceptance can be granted.

2. Print Production & Post-Publication Fulfillment

Physical book volume fulfillment and indexing metadata synchronization follow digital publication:

  • Print-on-Demand (POD) Production: Physical printing and hardbound volume assembly require 12 to 15 business days following final digital release.
  • Domestic & Overseas Transit: Dispatch across India takes 10 to 14 business days, while overseas international delivery takes 15 to 25 business days post-printing.
  • Indexing & Metadata Synchronization: DOI registration via Crossref and listing updates across partner repositories are finalized within 8 to 10 business days of live publication.
