Peer Reviewer Guidelines and Recognition Policy

Last Updated: August 2026

Peer reviewers play a critical role in preserving the quality, rigor, and integrity of publications at DScholar Press International. This policy outlines ethical responsibilities, evaluation expectations, confidentiality standards, and recognition frameworks for external reviewers.

1. Reviewer Ethical Responsibilities

Peer reviewers must adhere to core ethical principles throughout the double-blind review process:

  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must declare any financial, institutional, collaborative, or personal ties with the authors or work under evaluation and recuse themselves immediately.
  • Strict Confidentiality: Submitted manuscripts are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, copy, or upload manuscripts or data into public or third-party artificial intelligence tools.
  • Objectivity & Constructive Feedback: Reviews must be conducted impartially. Comments should focus on scholarly merit, methodological validity, and logical clarity, avoiding personal or hostile language.

2. Review Assessment Criteria

Reviewers provide comprehensive, written evaluations assessing key manuscript parameters:

  • Originality, significance, and contribution to the subject area.
  • Methodological soundness, experimental design, and analytical accuracy.
  • Clarity of structure, linguistic quality, and proper citation of relevant prior literature.
  • Adherence to ethical standards in research design and execution.
