DScholar Press International is committed to ensuring maximum discoverability, long-term digital preservation, and permanent global access for all published scholarly works. This policy outlines our automated indexing protocols, Crossref DOI registration systems, target bibliographic evaluation databases, and digital archiving strategies for monographs, edited books, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.

1. Crossref DOI Identifier Assignment & Automated Indexing

As an official Crossref member publisher, DScholar Press International assigns a unique persistent identifier—Digital Object Identifier (DOI)—to every published work and individual chapter. Upon live publication, full metadata is automatically deposited into international open-access discovery networks:

  • Automated Indexing Networks: All published books, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and technical reports are automatically harvested and indexed by Google Scholar and Google Books within days of electronic release.
  • Crossref Metadata Registration: Complete bibliographical metadata, contributor ORCID iDs, abstract data, and chapter-level landing pages are submitted to Crossref to guarantee persistent citation linking.
  • Open Access Repositories: XML metadata feeds are made openly available via automated portal OAI-PMH protocols for institutional library catalogs and global academic harvesters.

2. Abstracting & Citation Database Evaluation Submissions

To continually enhance the academic reach and impact factors of our publications, the press actively submits published titles to major international indexers that require manual selection, rigorous peer evaluation, and coverage review:

  • Scopus & Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics): Upon publication and fulfillment of volume requirements, the editorial office submits complete published manuscripts, metadata packages, and peer-review logs to Scopus and Web of Science (Book Citation Index / Conference Proceedings Citation Index) for formal evaluation and inclusion.
  • Specialized Discipline Indexers: Relevant volumes are submitted for evaluation to discipline-specific bibliographic databases (such as Directory of Open Access Books [DOAB], ERIC, PubMed Bookshelf, and institutional repositories) subject to individual database scope criteria.
  • Evaluation Timeline Notice: Inclusion in selective databases (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.) is governed independently by the selection committees of those indexing agencies. The press facilitates full submission, compliance documentation, and tracking.

Digital Archiving & Preservation Guarantee:

  • Permanent Server Preservation: Full-text PDF and structured XML assets are preserved in secure cloud servers with multi-regional redundant backups to guarantee 24/7 perpetual availability.
  • Self-Archiving Permissions: Authors retain full rights to self-archive the final published PDF version of their book chapters, working papers, or conference papers in institutional repositories, ResearchGate, and personal academic websites.
