MPF Payment Policy
DScholar Press International maintains a transparent and standardized payment workflow for the Manuscript Processing Fee (MPF). To support authors, book editors, and volume contributors globally, secure payment channels are established for both domestic (Indian) and overseas transactions. Payment requests are initiated only after a manuscript or volume proposal receives formal editorial acceptance.
1. Payment Channels & Regional Options
Corresponding authors and volume editors must complete MPF settlement using approved payment methods corresponding to their geographic region:
A. Domestic Transactions (India - INR)
- Online Payment Gateway (CCAvenue): Supports Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking across major Indian banks, and digital wallets.
- UPI Services (Google Pay / PhonePe / Paytm): Direct UPI transfers processed through official publisher QR codes or registered UPI IDs.
- Direct Bank Transfer (NEFT / RTGS / IMPS): Direct account transfers to the official corporate bank account of DSCHOLAR RESEARCH CONSULTANCY AND ANALYTICS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED.
B. International Transactions (Overseas)
- PayPal Payment Gateway: Overseas authors and international volume editors must settle MPF via PayPal using international credit cards, debit cards, or registered PayPal balances. Electronic invoices are generated in standard international currencies.
2. Invoicing & Payment Procedure
The editorial office executes MPF administration under strict operational guidelines:
- Formal Acceptance Notice: Upon completion of double-blind peer review, the corresponding author or lead volume editor receives an official Letter of Acceptance alongside a formal Proforma Invoice.
- Payment Link Dispatch: Secure payment links (CCAvenue for domestic payments; PayPal invoice links for international payments) or bank account details are transmitted directly via official email.
- Timeline: MPF settlement is expected within 10-15 business days of acceptance to prevent delays in production, layout formatting, and DOI registration.
Payment Verification & Official Receipts:
- Proof Submission: Following completion of direct bank transfers or UPI payments, authors/editors must forward transaction confirmation details (UTR number, screenshot, or transaction ID) to publisher@dscholarpress.com.
- Official Tax Invoice: Upon payment verification, an official Tax Invoice and Payment Confirmation Receipt are issued to the corresponding author/editor for institutional reimbursement purposes.
3. Currency Exchange & Transaction Fees
For overseas transactions processed through PayPal, invoice amounts reflect the fixed international processing fee. Authors and editors are responsible for any foreign exchange conversion charges or intermediate bank processing fees assessed by their personal banking institutions.
4. No Refund Policy
The Manuscript Processing Fee (MPF) directly covers operational expenditure incurred during peer review administration, professional copyediting, typesetting, XML conversion, Crossref DOI allocation, indexing submission, and long-term digital archiving. Consequently:
- Non-Refundable Status: Once payment is rendered and verified, the MPF is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
- Post-Payment Withdrawal: If an author or editor chooses to withdraw a manuscript or book chapter after payment has been processed, no refund will be issued.
- Post-Publication Retraction or Removal: In cases where a published work is formally retracted, removed, or corrected due to post-publication ethical breaches, plagiarism, copyright infringement, or author misconduct, the MPF will not be refunded.
- Duplicate Payment Exception: In the rare event of verified double or accidental overpayment due to technical gateway errors, the excess amount will be refunded back to the original funding source within 10-14 business days after review.
5. Financial & Editorial Disclaimer
- Independence of Editorial Decisions: Payment of the MPF guarantees technical production, typesetting, digital archiving, and publication services, but does not buy or guarantee publication acceptance without satisfactory completion of peer review and editorial compliance.
- Third-Party Gateway Security: DScholar Press International utilizes secure, accredited external payment gateways (CCAvenue and PayPal). The press does not store or process sensitive payment card numbers or banking passwords on its servers and disclaims liability for gateway disruptions beyond publisher control.
- Unauthorized Financial Transactions: All official payment requests will originate strictly from verified editorial addresses under
@dscholarpress.com. The press assumes no financial liability for payments made to unauthorized personal accounts, unverified third parties, or fraudulent solicitation attempts.
