DScholar Press International, a publishing imprint of DSCHOLAR RESEARCH CONSULTANCY AND ANALYTICS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, is committed to upholding the highest standards of editorial integrity, academic rigour, and publication ethics. Our rigorous editorial workflows ensure that every book proposal, full monograph, edited collection, conference volume, working paper, and technical report submitted to our portal undergoes a transparent, fair, and thorough evaluation process.
1. Scholarly Book Categories & Review Tracks
To accommodate a wide spectrum of academic and institutional publications, DScholar Press International operates two distinct evaluation tracks: Double-Blind Peer-Reviewed Works and Editorially Reviewed Works. Authors and volume editors are explicitly informed of the evaluation track applicable to their publication type upon submission.
Peer-Reviewed Books
Peer-ReviewedSingle or co-authored research monographs evaluated through a rigorous external double-blind peer review process by domain specialists.
Non-Peer-Reviewed Books
Editorial ReviewScholarly works, textbooks, and professional guides processed through internal editorial evaluation for structure, accuracy, and pedagogical relevance.
Peer-Reviewed Edited Books
Peer-ReviewedEdited thematic collections where all submitted individual chapters undergo external double-blind peer review before compilation.
Non-Peer-Reviewed Edited Books
Editorial ReviewEdited compilations, festschrifts, and institutional volumes reviewed internally by volume editors and press editorial board members.
Peer-Reviewed Proceedings
Peer-ReviewedAcademic conference proceedings featuring peer-reviewed papers, assigned both book-level and paper-level Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).
Non-Peer-Reviewed Proceedings
Editorial ReviewSymposium summaries, workshop outputs, and conference papers published on an accelerated timeline under direct editor oversight.
Peer-Reviewed Working Papers
Peer-ReviewedEarly research releases and developing studies evaluated through a fast-track double-blind review system prior to official release.

2. Stage-by-Stage Manuscript Processing Workflow
All proposals and full manuscripts submitted through the DScholar Press International manuscript submission and publication portal undergo a structured, multi-stage processing pathway:
Stage 1: Proposal Submission & Anonymization Checks
The author or volume editor submits the manuscript or book proposal via the portal. For all peer-reviewed categories, the editorial desk verifies that all author identities, institutional affiliations, and identifying self-references are stripped from the main manuscript text.
Stage 2: Desk Review & Similarity Screening (Plagiarism)
The Press Editor evaluates the submission for scope fit, editorial feasibility, ethics statements, institutional permissions, and text originality using professional text-similarity detection tools. Submissions with unoriginal material or structural flaws are desk-rejected at this stage.
Stage 3: Review Routing (Peer Review vs. Editorial Review)
• Peer-Reviewed Tracks: Routed to at least two independent external subject-matter experts for double-blind review.
• Editorial Review Tracks: Assigned directly to the Editorial Board for fast-track internal content, technical, and structural evaluation.
Stage 4: Evaluation, Reviewer Reports & Revisions
External reviewers or editorial evaluators analyze research depth, methodological validity, scholarly originality, and contribution to literature. Evaluators provide written feedback recommending: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject. Authors submit revised manuscripts alongside detailed response logs.
Stage 5: Final Editorial Decision & Contract Issuance
The Press Editor reviews all reports and revised materials. Upon final approval by the Managing Director / Publisher, an official publishing contract is issued to the author or volume editor.
Stage 6: Production, DOI/ISBN Assignment & Publication
The approved manuscript undergoes professional copyediting, typesetting, indexing, ISBN and DOI registration (book-level and chapter-level where applicable), page proof approval, and final digital/print publication on the portal.

4. About the Manuscript Processing Fee (MPF)

Editorial Independence Guarantee
Manuscript Processing Fees (MPF) apply exclusively to manuscripts accepted for publication following review. Editorial decisions are made independently and are never influenced by payment.
5. Ethical Guidelines & Evaluator Integrity
In strict adherence to international ethical recommendations for academic books and long-form publishing, DScholar Press International enforces the following core principles:
- Conflict of Interest Avoidance: External reviewers, series editors, and internal staff must recuse themselves from evaluating any book manuscript where financial, institutional, personal, or collaborative conflicts of interest exist.
- Confidentiality: All submitted book files, chapter proposals, and reviewer evaluations are treated as strictly confidential documents. Unreviewed manuscripts or data may not be shared or utilized for personal advantage.
- Third-Party Permissions & Originality: Authors are solely responsible for securing written copyright clearances for any long quotes, figures, tables, or artwork reproduced from external sources prior to production.
- Handling Misconduct Allegations: If plagiarism, redundant publication, data falsification, or unauthorized copyright use is flagged at any stage, the handling editor halts production and initiates formal internal investigations.
Editorial Independence & Appeals Process:
Publication decisions are governed strictly by scholarly value, research validity, and relevance to the press imprint. Authors or volume editors who wish to appeal a rejection decision must submit a formal written appeal outlining scientific or factual rebuttals to the Publisher via publisher@dscholarpress.com. Appeals are independently evaluated by a designated member of the Editorial Board.
