Reports | Submission & Publishing Guidelines

When an author or institution submits a manuscript under the Reports category, the work undergoes an expedited internal editorial evaluation rather than an external double-blind review process. This publication stream is designed for institutional reports, policy reviews, technical evaluations, white papers, industry benchmarks, research summaries, and project outcome documents that do not require external academic peer review prior to publication.

Editorial Review & Publishing Workflow

Submissions in this category are evaluated through a streamlined internal review process:

  • Editorial Alignment & Quality Check: The handling editor evaluates the report for structural clarity, professional formatting, ethical compliance, and press alignment.
  • Technical & Plagiarism Screening: The manuscript is checked for similarity standards, citation integrity, and proper metadata structure.
  • Rapid Dissemination: Authors and institutional partners receive an expedited decision to facilitate timely publication and policy impact.
  • Persistent Identifiers: Published reports receive dedicated Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) and e-ISBNs/Print ISBNs for permanent cataloging and global indexation.

Step-by-Step Submission Process for Authors & Organizations

Authors or institutional representatives submitting a report can complete the submission process using the online system:

  1. Start & Select Category: Select Reports as your submission category. Ensure you select Monograph as the submission format in this initial step.
  2. Upload Files: Click Add File to open the upload window. Select the appropriate Submission Component (e.g., Full Report or Executive Summary), upload your document, review the file details, click Complete, and then click Save and Continue.
  3. Enter Catalog Metadata: Enter the Report Title and Subtitle (optional), followed by the complete Abstract or Executive Summary. Scroll down to the Contributors section and click Add Contributor to enter the name, email, country, and institutional affiliation for all lead authors or contributing organizations.
  4. Confirmation: Review the submission package, click Finish Submission, and confirm the final prompt to deliver the report package to our editorial team.

Report Preparation Guidelines

To ensure uniform metadata registration and smooth digital archiving, submitted reports must comply with the following standards:

Author & Organization Details

Since external anonymization is not required for report submissions:

  • Authors and sponsoring organizations may include their full names, institutional affiliations, corporate logos, and acknowledgments directly within the manuscript.
  • Contributor and organizational details should also be entered accurately in the metadata options during the online submission process.
  • Authors may include a 1-page organizational profile or author summary alongside the introductory front matter.

Document Specifications

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx).
  • Font & Layout: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Structure: Include Report Title, Executive Summary / Abstract (200–300 words), Keywords (5–7 terms), Table of Contents, Main Sections with clear headings, and References / Data Sources (if applicable).

Publication Options Upon Acceptance

Once a report passes internal editorial review and is accepted for publication, authors can select their preferred distribution model and physical format:

Access Models

  • Open Access: Free, unrestricted global access to the digital edition, maximizing institutional reach, citation rates, and policy impact.
