Peer-Reviewed Edited Books and Volumes | Submission & Publishing Guidelines
When an editor initiates a submission under the Peer-Reviewed Edited Books and Volumes category, the full manuscript—including all collected chapters—undergoes a rigorous double-blind external peer review by subject experts. External reviewers evaluate the content anonymously to ensure academic rigor, thematic consistency, and methodological quality prior to acceptance.
Step-by-Step Submission Process for Editors
Volume editors submitting an edited collection must complete the 5-step submission wizard carefully to ensure all chapter authors are correctly assigned:
- Start & Select Category: Select Peer-Reviewed Edited Books and Volumes as your submission category. Ensure you select Edited Volume as the submission format in this initial step to unlock the chapter management features.
- Upload Files: Click Add File to open the upload window. Select the appropriate Submission Component (e.g., Full Manuscript, Book Proposal, or Preface/Introduction), upload your file, review the file details, click Complete, and then click Save and Continue.
- Enter Catalog Metadata: Enter the main book Title and Subtitle (optional), followed by the complete book Abstract. Scroll down to the Contributors section and click Add Contributor to enter the name, email, and country for each chapter author. Important: Select Chapter Author as their role for these entries, reserving Volume Editor only for the primary editors.
- Add Chapters (Crucial for Edited Volumes): A dedicated Chapters section will appear because you selected "Edited Volume" in Step 1. Click Add Chapter, enter the specific Chapter Title, and check the boxes next to the contributors added in Step 3 who authored that specific chapter. Repeat this step for every chapter in the volume before clicking Save and Continue.
- Confirmation: Review the submission details, click Finish Submission, and confirm the final prompt to deliver the complete package to our editorial team.
Chapter Preparation Guidelines
To maintain double-blind peer review standards and publication uniformity, all submitted chapters must adhere to the following specifications:
Anonymization Guidelines
- Remove author names, institutional affiliations, contact details, and acknowledgments from individual chapter files.
- Ensure all document properties and hidden personal metadata are cleared before uploading.
- Chapter author identities should only be recorded in the metadata settings during Step 3 of the submission process.
Document Specifications
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx).
- Font & Layout: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Chapter Structure: Each chapter must include a Chapter Title, Abstract (150–200 words), Keywords (5–7 terms), Main Text with clear headings, and a standalone References list.
