Self-Archiving Policy

DScholar Press International permits limited self-archiving of published works under controlled conditions to ensure proper attribution, protection of publishing rights, and preservation of the official version of record. This policy applies to all publications, including peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.

Authors may deposit specific versions of their work in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic social networks, or non-commercial repositories only in accordance with the terms of the publishing agreement. The version permitted for self-archiving is limited to the accepted manuscript or pre-publication version, unless explicitly authorized otherwise by the Press.

The final published version of record, including formatting, pagination, publisher branding, and metadata provided by DScholar Press International, remains the authoritative version and must not be reproduced, distributed, or stored in full without prior written permission from the Press, except where the work is published under an open access licence that explicitly allows such reuse.

Where self-archiving is permitted, authors must include a full and accurate citation to the original publication, including title, author(s), publication venue, year, and a link to the official version hosted by DScholar Press International. A clear statement must be included indicating that the work has been published by the Press and that the archived version may differ from the final published version.

Authors must not modify the content of the published version when self-archiving. Alteration, reformatting, or removal of publisher branding, metadata, or copyright notices is not permitted. The integrity of the scholarly record must be preserved at all times.

Self-archiving must not be used as a substitute for the official published version or as a means of bypassing access controls or licensing terms. The Press reserves the right to request removal of any deposited version that does not comply with this policy or that infringes upon the publishing agreement.

The Press may impose embargo periods on self-archiving depending on the publication type, funding requirements, or contractual obligations. Authors must comply with any applicable embargo before depositing manuscripts in any repository or platform.

Failure to comply with this policy, including unauthorized distribution of the published version, modification of content, or violation of embargo conditions, may result in legal action, withdrawal of publication rights, or other remedies available under the publishing agreement.

DScholar Press International maintains this policy to protect the integrity of the version of record, safeguard publishing rights, and ensure proper attribution and controlled dissemination of scholarly works while allowing limited and regulated academic sharing.
