Repository Deposit Policy
DScholar Press International requires that authors comply with repository deposit standards to ensure proper preservation, accessibility, and version control of scholarly works. This policy applies to all publications, including peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.
Authors may deposit their work in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or recognized academic platforms only in accordance with the publishing agreement and the self-archiving terms of the Press. The version permitted for deposit is limited to the accepted manuscript unless otherwise specified in writing by the Press. The final published version of record may not be deposited unless the work is published under an open access licence that explicitly permits such distribution.
All repository deposits must include a complete and accurate citation of the published work, including author(s), title, publication details, year, and a link to the official version hosted by DScholar Press International. Authors must clearly identify the version being deposited and must include a statement indicating that the work has been published by the Press and that the deposited version may differ from the final version of record.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that deposited materials comply with copyright law, licensing terms, and publishing agreements. Third-party content included in manuscripts must not be deposited unless appropriate permissions have been obtained. Confidential, sensitive, or restricted data must not be included in repository deposits unless legally and ethically permitted.
Repository deposits must not be used to replace, substitute, or replicate the official published version of record. The Press reserves full control over the dissemination of the final published version, and any unauthorized deposit of the published version in repositories or platforms is strictly prohibited.
Embargo periods may apply to repository deposits depending on publication type, funding requirements, or contractual obligations. Authors must respect any embargo conditions and ensure that manuscripts are not made publicly available before the permitted date.
The Press may request removal of any repository deposit that violates this policy, infringes publishing rights, or misrepresents the version of record. Repeated or deliberate violations may result in withdrawal of publishing rights or other actions under the publishing agreement.
DScholar Press International maintains this policy to ensure integrity of the scholarly record, protect the official version of publication, and support controlled and ethical dissemination of research outputs.
