Permissions Policy

DScholar Press International requires that authors obtain all necessary permissions for the inclusion and reuse of third-party content in submitted manuscripts. This policy applies to all publications, including peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.

Authors are responsible for securing written permission from copyright holders for any material that is not originally created by the authors and that is not covered by statutory exceptions, fair use, or fair dealing provisions. This includes text excerpts, tables, figures, images, photographs, illustrations, maps, charts, diagrams, questionnaires, datasets, software code, audio-visual materials, and any other copyrighted or proprietary content.

Permissions must be obtained prior to publication and must explicitly cover all intended uses, including print, electronic, open access distribution, archiving, and redistribution where applicable. Authors must provide documented proof of permission to the editorial office upon request and ensure that all licensing terms are fully complied with.

All third-party materials must be properly acknowledged in the manuscript with clear citations and credit lines as required by the copyright holder. Where required, specific attribution statements or licence notices must be included in the figure captions, tables, or acknowledgements section.

Authors must ensure that the use of third-party material does not infringe on intellectual property rights, privacy rights, moral rights, or contractual restrictions. Content obtained from licensed databases, restricted sources, or confidential materials must not be used without explicit authorization.

Failure to obtain appropriate permissions may result in rejection of the manuscript prior to publication or corrective actions after publication, including removal of content, publication of corrections, or retraction where necessary. The Press reserves the right to suspend the publication process until valid permissions are provided.

The editorial office may verify permissions documentation during the review or production process. Authors are fully responsible for any legal consequences arising from unauthorized use of third-party materials.

DScholar Press International maintains this policy to ensure legal compliance, protect intellectual property rights, and uphold ethical standards in scholarly publishing.
