ORCID Policy

DScholar Press International requires authors to provide an ORCID iD during manuscript submission wherever applicable. ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes researchers and supports accurate attribution of scholarly work across publications, institutions, and disciplines. This policy applies to all submissions, including peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their ORCID iD is valid, active, and correctly linked to their professional identity. The ORCID iD must be provided for the corresponding author and is recommended for all co-authors. Authors must ensure that the ORCID record contains accurate and up-to-date information relevant to their scholarly profile.

The inclusion of ORCID iDs supports accurate author identification, improves metadata quality, and enhances the discoverability of published works. It also reduces ambiguity in author names, particularly in cases where multiple researchers share similar names or where authors publish across multiple disciplines or institutions.

Authors are responsible for maintaining their ORCID records independently of the Press. Any updates, corrections, or changes to professional information must be made by the authors within their ORCID profiles. The Press does not manage or modify ORCID records on behalf of authors.

Submission systems of DScholar Press International may validate ORCID IDs to ensure authenticity. Authors must provide accurate ORCID information during submission, and any mismatch or invalid identifier may result in delays in the editorial process or return of the manuscript for correction.

ORCID iDs may be published alongside author names in published works and associated metadata to ensure transparency and consistent author identification across indexing platforms, repositories, and citation systems.

DScholar Press International supports the use of ORCID as part of its commitment to transparency, accurate attribution, and international best practices in scholarly publishing. The use of ORCID contributes to maintaining a reliable and interconnected scholarly record across all publication types.
