Open Access Policy

DScholar Press International provides open access publishing options to ensure immediate, unrestricted access to scholarly works. This policy applies to all eligible publications, including peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.

Under the open access model, published works are made freely available online without subscription or paywall barriers, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of the publication. Open access supports wider dissemination of knowledge, increased visibility of research, and improved accessibility for researchers, institutions, and the public.

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting DScholar Press International the right to publish and disseminate the content. Open access publications are typically released under a Creative Commons licence, most commonly the CC BY 4.0 licence, which permits reuse, distribution, adaptation, and reproduction provided appropriate attribution is given to the original authors and publisher.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all third-party materials included in their manuscripts are cleared for open access distribution or properly licensed. Any content that cannot be distributed under open access terms must be clearly identified, and appropriate permissions must be obtained prior to publication.

The editorial and publication process for open access works follows the same standards of peer review or editorial assessment, research integrity, and publication ethics as non-open access works. Open access status does not influence editorial decisions, which are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, and compliance with the Press’s policies.

Where applicable, publication fees or article/book processing charges may be associated with open access publication to support editorial processing, production, hosting, preservation, and dissemination. Any applicable charges are disclosed transparently before acceptance.

DScholar Press International ensures that open access content is preserved in digital repositories and indexing systems to support long-term accessibility and discoverability. Metadata standards and persistent identifiers may be used to enhance visibility across global academic platforms.

The Press supports open access as part of its commitment to equitable knowledge dissemination and the global exchange of scholarly research while maintaining high standards of publication ethics and editorial integrity.
