Non-Peer-Review Policy

DScholar Press International publishes both peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed scholarly publications. This policy defines the standards and procedures for publications that do not undergo external peer review. The review status of each publication is clearly indicated on the publication page and in its metadata to ensure transparency for authors, readers, libraries, and indexing services.

Non-peer-reviewed publications may include books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, research reports, and other publication types designated by the Press. These works are accepted based on editorial evaluation rather than external peer review. The designation of a publication as non-peer-reviewed is determined prior to evaluation and is communicated clearly to authors through submission guidelines and publication information.

Manuscripts submitted under this category are assessed through editorial review conducted by qualified subject editors. The editorial assessment considers originality, scholarly relevance, structure, clarity, accuracy of references, methodological soundness (where applicable), and compliance with ethical and publication standards. The purpose of this process is to ensure that submissions meet the minimum academic and editorial quality requirements of the Press.

Editorial review may include feedback and recommendations for revision. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts before acceptance. Additional rounds of editorial assessment may be conducted where necessary to ensure that required revisions have been adequately addressed. Final publication decisions are made by the editor or editorial board based on the outcome of the editorial evaluation process.

Although non-peer-reviewed publications do not undergo external peer review, they are held to the same standards of research integrity, publication ethics, and transparency as peer-reviewed works. Authors are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and ethical compliance of their submissions, including proper citation practices, disclosure of conflicts of interest, funding information, and adherence to applicable ethical guidelines.

Editors are responsible for ensuring fair, consistent, and impartial editorial evaluation and for maintaining confidentiality throughout the review process. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly relevance, clarity, and compliance with the policies of the Press. The editorial process operates independently of commercial considerations, publication charges, or external influence.

DScholar Press International ensures that the non-peer-reviewed status of each publication is clearly and consistently displayed across all published outputs. This policy is periodically reviewed to ensure alignment with international publishing standards and best practices in scholarly communication.
