Expressions of Concern Policy
DScholar Press International issues an Expression of Concern when serious concerns are raised about the integrity, reliability, or ethical conduct of a published or submitted work, and where a full investigation is ongoing or cannot yet be completed. This notice is used as a temporary measure to inform readers that the validity of the work may be in question while due process is followed.
An Expression of Concern may be issued in cases involving suspected research misconduct, data irregularities, ethical approval issues, authorship disputes, or credible allegations that require further investigation. The editorial team follows a fair and transparent review process in accordance with COPE guidelines before making any final decision regarding correction or retraction.
The Expression of Concern remains linked to the original publication until the investigation is concluded. Based on the outcome, the notice may be replaced by a correction, corrigendum, or retraction as appropriate. The purpose of this policy is to maintain transparency, protect the integrity of the scholarly record, and ensure responsible communication with the academic community.
