Digital Preservation Policy

DScholar Press International is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly works. This Digital Preservation Policy establishes a sustainable framework for safeguarding digital content so that it remains permanently accessible to researchers, libraries, indexing services, and the global academic community.

All published content is preserved through a combination of secure hosting infrastructure, scheduled backups, and redundant storage systems. These measures are designed to protect against data loss, system failure, and technological obsolescence. Backup copies of content and associated metadata are maintained to ensure continuity of access under all circumstances.

To support long-term scholarly preservation, DScholar Press International also utilizes trusted external archiving and preservation platforms, where applicable. These may include open-access digital repositories and web archiving services that ensure additional layers of redundancy and public accessibility of published works.

Each publication is assigned persistent identifiers such as ISBN and/or DOI, where applicable, to ensure stable citation, discoverability, and long-term referencing. Metadata associated with publications is preserved to support indexing in scholarly databases and search systems.

In the event of platform migration, system upgrade, or organizational change, the Press ensures uninterrupted access to archived content. Where updates, corrections, or revisions occur, previous versions are retained or properly documented in accordance with version control and editorial policies.

This policy aligns with internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing and digital preservation, ensuring transparency, reliability, and long-term availability of the academic record. It is designed to support indexing compatibility and meet expectations of global scholarly databases and library systems.
