Authorship and Contributorship Policy
DScholar Press International requires clear, accurate, and transparent attribution of authorship and contributorship for all submitted and published manuscripts, including peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.
Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the research. All listed authors must have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for its content. Authorship must reflect actual scholarly contribution and must not include individuals who did not contribute meaningfully to the research or writing process.
All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission and must agree to its submission to the Press. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors meet authorship criteria, have reviewed the final manuscript, and have consented to submission and publication. The corresponding author also acts as the primary contact for all communication with the editorial office during the submission, review, and publication process.
Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria must be acknowledged separately in an acknowledgements section. This may include individuals who provided technical assistance, administrative support, data collection assistance, editorial assistance, funding acquisition, or general supervision without direct intellectual contribution to the manuscript. Such contributions must be disclosed accurately and with permission from the individuals concerned.
Any changes in authorship, including addition, removal, or reordering of authors, must be requested in writing and must include justification. All authors, including those being added or removed, must provide a written agreement for the change. Authorship changes after acceptance are not permitted unless approved by the editorial office under exceptional circumstances.
Authors must ensure transparency in the reporting of individual contributions. Where applicable, a contributorship statement must be included, clearly describing the role of each author in the research and manuscript preparation process. This may include conceptualization, methodology, data collection, analysis, writing, reviewing, or supervision.
All authors are responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and originality of the manuscript. Each author is accountable for the parts of the work they contributed to, and all authors share collective responsibility for the overall content of the publication.
Conflicts of interest must be disclosed by all authors at the time of submission. These include financial, institutional, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the research or its interpretation. Funding sources must also be clearly identified, and their role in the research process must be stated.
Ghost authorship, gift authorship, and honorary authorship are not permitted. All contributions must be transparently reported to ensure integrity in the attribution of scholarly work. Any attempt to misrepresent authorship or contributions may be treated as publication misconduct and may result in rejection, correction, or retraction.
DScholar Press International maintains these standards to ensure accountability, transparency, and integrity in scholarly publishing and to uphold accurate representation of intellectual contribution across all publications.
