Author Responsibilities Policy
Authors submitting manuscripts to DScholar Press International are responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and ethical compliance of their work throughout the submission, review, and publication process. This policy applies to all publications, including peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.
Authors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts are original and that the work has not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another publisher unless disclosed at the time of submission. All data, findings, interpretations, figures, tables, and references must be accurate, properly represented, and appropriately cited. Authors are responsible for maintaining transparency in the presentation of research and for ensuring that all sources of information are acknowledged.
A central requirement of this policy is the disclosure of conflicts of interest. Authors must declare any financial, institutional, personal, or professional relationships that could influence, or be perceived to influence, the research, analysis, interpretation, or publication of the manuscript. This includes funding sources, sponsorship, affiliations, advisory roles, or any other relevant interests. Conflict of interest statements must be included at the time of submission and must be complete and accurate. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors provide full disclosure.
Authors must ensure compliance with ethical standards applicable to their research. Where research involves human participants, animals, or sensitive data, appropriate ethical approval must be obtained, and informed consent must be secured where required. Authors must provide documentation or statements confirming ethical compliance when requested by the editorial office.
Authorship must accurately reflect individual contributions to the work. All listed authors must have made a significant intellectual contribution and must approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors agree to submission and publication and that authorship information is accurate. Any changes in authorship after submission must be formally requested and approved by all authors and the editorial office.
Authors are responsible for providing complete and accurate submission information, including manuscript metadata, funding details, acknowledgements, ORCID identifiers where applicable, and any required supporting documents. Authors must respond to editorial and review feedback within the specified timeframe and provide clear revisions where required.
Authors must disclose any use of artificial intelligence or generative tools in the preparation of the manuscript, where applicable, and remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all AI-assisted content. AI tools do not transfer authorship responsibility.
Failure to disclose conflicts of interest, misrepresentation of authorship, ethical non-compliance, or any form of publication misconduct may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or other editorial action in accordance with the Press’s publication ethics policies.
DScholar Press International expects authors to uphold the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing. These responsibilities apply equally to all publication types, regardless of whether they undergo peer review or editorial assessment.
