Acknowledgements Policy
DScholar Press International requires that all manuscripts include an acknowledgements section where appropriate to ensure transparency regarding contributions, support, and assistance received during the preparation of the work. This policy applies to all publications, including peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed books, scholarly monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, working papers, and research reports.
The acknowledgements section must include individuals, institutions, or organizations that contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship. This may include technical assistance, editorial assistance, data collection support, administrative support, supervision, funding acquisition, or general academic guidance. All individuals named in the acknowledgements must have given consent to be included.
Authors must disclose all sources of financial support, grants, scholarships, or institutional funding that contributed to the research or publication. Funding information must be stated clearly and accurately, including the name of the funding body and any relevant grant numbers where applicable. The role of funders in the design, conduct, analysis, or publication of the research must also be stated where relevant.
Acknowledgements must also include disclosure of any use of external services or tools that contributed to the preparation of the manuscript, where applicable. This includes editorial assistance, translation support, or other professional services that influenced the development of the final manuscript.
Individuals who do not meet authorship criteria must not be listed as authors and must instead be acknowledged appropriately. This distinction ensures transparency in contributorship and maintains the integrity of authorship attribution.
Acknowledgements must not be used to conceal conflicts of interest, ghost authorship, or undisclosed contributions. Any attempt to misrepresent contributions or funding sources is treated as a violation of publication ethics and may result in editorial action.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all acknowledgements are accurate, complete, and approved by all co-authors prior to submission. The editorial office may request clarification or additional information regarding acknowledgements where necessary.
DScholar Press International maintains this policy to ensure transparency in scholarly communication, proper recognition of contributions, and compliance with international standards of publication ethics and research integrity.
