Author Guidelines

Interested in submitting to the Indian Journal of Higher Education Research (IJHER)? We encourage prospective authors to carefully review the About the Journal page, along with the Aims and Scope, Publication Frequency and Timeline, and all relevant Editorial Policies to ensure alignment with the journal’s expectations. Authors must register with the journal before submission. Once registered—or if already registered—they may log in and proceed with the straightforward five-step online submission process.

These guidelines provide detailed instructions for manuscript preparation and submission:

1. Before You Begin

1.1 Ethics in Publishing

All authors must adhere to the journal’s Publication Ethics and Editorial Policies, which follow internationally accepted standards, including COPE guidelines.

1.2 Originality and Submission Declaration

• Manuscripts must be original and unpublished.

• Submissions must not be under consideration elsewhere.

• All authors must approve the submission.

• Proper permissions must be obtained for copyrighted material.

1.3 Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose conflicts in accordance with the Conflict of Interest Policy.

1.4 Use of AI Tools

Use of AI must be disclosed in line with the Plagiarism and AI Usage Policy.

All manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening followed by a Double-Blind Peer Review Process. The Editor may desk-reject submissions that do not meet academic or ethical standards.

7. Peer Review

IJHER follows a rigorous Peer Review Policy including plagiarism screening and double-blind evaluation.

Authors retain copyright. Articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).

IJHER follows a Zero Fee Policy. No submission or publication charges apply.

12. Withdrawal and Retraction
