About the Journal
The Indian Journal of Higher Education Research (IJHER) is a biannual, peer-reviewed, online, and open-access journal published in June and December. The journal publishes original research in the field of higher education with special reference to India and global higher education systems. It aims to promote academic discussion, support evidence-based educational policy-making, and contribute to the improvement of higher education institutions and practices. The first issue is planned for 2027, and submissions are invited from researchers, academicians, policymakers, administrators, and practitioners from around the world.
The journal welcomes submissions in the form of Research Articles, Review Articles, Policy Analyses, Institutional Case Studies, and Book Reviews. It encourages interdisciplinary and comparative research that contributes to both theoretical and practical understanding of current issues, reforms, and developments in higher education.
