DOI Policy

When you publish a paper in the International Review of Public Policy and Administration, it is understood that the article will be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure persistent identification and reliable access.


Purpose

DOIs are assigned to:

  • Provide a permanent and unique identifier

  • Enable stable and persistent access to content

  • Support accurate citation and indexing

  • Facilitate discoverability within scholarly systems


Scope

The journal assigns DOIs to all published content, including:

  • Research articles

  • Review articles

  • Policy and administrative case analyses

  • Book reviews

Each article is assigned a unique DOI at the time of publication.


Registration

All DOIs are registered through Crossref.

The journal deposits structured metadata, including:

  • Author information

  • Article title and abstract

  • Keywords

  • References and citations

  • Publication details

Metadata may be updated to ensure accuracy.


Format and Resolution

DOIs follow a standard format:

Each DOI resolves to the official article page on the journal website.

The journal ensures that DOI links remain active and functional.


Maintenance

The journal maintains DOI functionality over time.

Where content is relocated or updated:

  • DOI records are revised

  • Access to content is preserved


Reference Linking

The journal supports reference linking through Crossref.

Authors are encouraged to include DOIs in references where available.

Metadata
